Present activities of IPMMA:

Magazine

To further improve its communication regularly within the industry, IPMMA has launched its official quarterly Magazine sharing important industry information, compliances and policies and to provide information on latest technological trends. This offers its members a platform to share their technological innovations, new product developments, strategic tie-ups with its user community at large.

Trade exhibitions & seminars

IPMMA organises its annual exhibition “Pharma Pro&Pack” in the year 2013 to provide a platform to interact and do business with domestic and international buyers. This exhibition also features a co-located buyer seller meet and technology seminars. This exhibition is regularly visited by important domestic & international trade associations, individual buyers from South East Asia, CIS region, Middle East and Africa.

To further enhance the reach for the association members with the Pharma community in India & abroad IPMMA has re-launched its official website www.ipmma.org providing latest updates and information on the industry. It’s also active on social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn etc.

Government representation

IPMMA has identified various issues faced by the members relating to taxations, duties and these have been put forward to the concerned authorities seeking clarification and timely solutions. E.g. The association got an exemption notification under 80G from the income tax authorities offering tax benefits to its members and currently is pursuing rebates in the GST rates.

CSR activities

IPMMA has been actively participating in government initiatives promoted to work with society at large and one such initiative was “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” by the H’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi.

Other activities

The association also gets regular industry updates from FICCI, EEPC, CII, IDMA, IPA, BDMA and the information received is communicated to the member companies on a periodical basis.

Future plans:

  1. The association is putting focused efforts to co-ordinate with technology, component suppliers etc. to provide necessary knowledge that could be imparted to its members under a single roof program to help both the supplier as well the industry.
  2. Special chapter for Pharmaceutical machinery under EEPC scheme.
  3. Inclusion of pharmaceutical machinery in the list of items for duty exemption in the bilateral trade agreement between India and MERCOSUR (Latin America Countries).
  4. Lifting of trade embargoes.
  5. Promoting Export of Pharmaceutical Machinery amongst SAARC countries.
  6. International representation at INTERPACK, ACHEMA, INTERPHEX etc.
  7. Getting membership of VDMA, FICCI, CII and EEPC.
  8. MDA & MAI schemes for IPMMA members
